Pricing & Enrolment

Figoura offers a range of classes for different experience levels, including our Beginner/General, Intermediate/Advanced, and Hertfordshire programmes. Whilst pricing and term lengths may vary depending on the class, the principles behind our enrolment structure remain the same.

Our classes are designed to help students develop their dancing, confidence, fitness, and understanding of Greek culture over time. For this reason, we generally encourage termly enrolment, allowing students to progress alongside their fellow dancers in a supportive and structured environment.

We recognise that everyone has different schedules and commitments, which is why we also offer trial sessions and, where appropriate, drop-in options. The pricing information below explains the different ways you can participate and helps you choose the option that best suits your circumstances.

Figoura classes are designed as structured learning programmes that enable students to develop their dancing, fitness, confidence, and understanding of Greek culture over time. Whilst every lesson can be enjoyed in its own right, we believe students gain the greatest benefit by attending regularly and progressing alongside their fellow dancers.

Term Enrolment (Recommended)

Our preferred method of participation is term enrolment. This offers the best value, guarantees your place in the class, and allows lessons to build naturally from one week or month to the next.

Current term fees:

Beginner/General Class (Tuesday): £145 per 10-class term (£14.50 per class)
Intermediate/Advanced Class (Wednesday): £145 per 10-class term (£14.50 per class)
Hertfordshire Class (Sunday): £50 per 4-class introductory term (£12.50 per class)

We appreciate that work, holidays, family commitments, and other events can occasionally prevent attendance. For this reason, term pricing is structured with the understanding that students may sometimes miss the odd class whilst remaining committed to the programme as a whole.

Trial Sessions

Trial sessions are available for new participants who would like to experience a class before deciding whether to enrol.

Current trial rates:

Beginner/General Class (Tuesday): £20
Intermediate/Advanced Class (Wednesday): £20
Hertfordshire Class (Sunday): £15 introductory trial rate

A trial session is intended as an introduction to Figoura and is not designed as an alternative to term enrolment. Where a participant decides to continue after attending a trial class, the Dance School may, at its discretion, credit the trial fee towards term enrolment, ensuring they do not pay more than someone who enrolled from the outset.

Drop-In Attendance

Where available, drop-in attendance provides flexibility for those wishing to attend occasional classes without enrolling for a full term.

Standard Figoura Drop-In Rate: £20 per class

As drop-ins require additional administration and do not provide the same continuity of learning, they are usually charged at a higher rate than the equivalent cost of term enrolment.

Our Philosophy

At Figoura, we aim to balance commitment with flexibility. We understand that modern life doesn't always allow perfect attendance, but we believe the strongest learning experience comes from being part of a regular class community and engaging with the programme over time.

Term enrolment not only secures your place in the class but also reflects a commitment to the wider learning journey. Our pricing has been designed to recognise that students may occasionally miss one or two sessions during a term due to holidays, work, family commitments, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Trial sessions are intended for those wishing to experience a class before committing, while drop-in attendance provides an option for occasional participation. However, for the benefit of both the individual student and the wider class, term enrolment remains our preferred approach.

We believe this structure provides the best balance between accessibility, value, consistency, and progression for all members of the Figoura School of Greek Dance.

Booking Trial Sessions & Drop-In Classes

Unlike term enrolments, trial sessions and drop-in attendances cannot currently be booked online.

We will then discuss availability and make the necessary arrangements with you.

Please note that requesting a trial session or drop-in place does not automatically guarantee a space in the class. In some cases, classes may already be operating at or near maximum capacity, in which case priority will be given to students who have enrolled for the full term.

Where a class is full, we will do our best to discuss alternative options with you, such as joining another class, attending a future term, or being placed on a waiting list.

As a general principle, we try to accommodate new students wherever possible, whilst ensuring that class sizes remain appropriate and that the learning experience of students who have committed to the full term is not adversely affected.
